Cross-border access to electronic evidence

ICT and Digital Agenda
Date: Wednesday, 14 November 2018 16:00 - 18:00

Venue: Thon Hotel EU

On 14 November, Cullen International will organise a digital economy briefing on the European Commission's legislative proposal on cross-border access to electronic evidence.

The proposal, which is being discussed by the Council and European Parliament, would enable police and judicial authorities to directly request providers of electronic communications, messaging apps and social media services located in other EU countries to share electronic evidence about their users (which could be either metadata or content) as part of criminal investigations.

Mr Tjabbe Bos, policy officer at the fight against cybercrime unit at the European Commission, will present the proposal and answer participants questions.
