ECFIN's Annual Research Conference 2018: The productivity challenge: jobs and incomes in the dawning era of intelligent robots

The conference is a one-day event with an audience of about 80-100 invited participants from research and policy-making circles. This year's conference will be devoted to the overall theme of "The productivity challenge: jobs and incomes in the dawning era of intelligent robots".

Prof. Joel Mokyr (Northwestern University) has agreed to deliver the Distinguished ECFIN Lecture in this context; and our Commissioner Pierre Moscovici is scheduled to address the audience in a keynote.

The structure of the conference foresees 3 sessions on specific sub-themes looking into (i) trends and drivers of productivity growth; (ii) the economics of digitalized and robotized economies; and (iii) productivity and the regional cohesion challenge; please see attached the conference programme.
