Factfulness: Ten reasons we're wrong about the world

Communication and Media
Date: Tuesday, 27 November 2018

Venue: Library Reading Room, 5th floor, Altiero Spinelli Building (ASP 05D)

The way we process and understand facts depends on individual filters, such as interests, emotions, values, and unconscious cognitive biases. ‘Factfulness’ offers an explanation of how information is processed and why global trends are systematically assessed in a wrong way. It discusses ten instincts that distort the perception of facts and offers a new thinking habit that hopes to change the way the world is perceived to improve responses to challenges and opportunities of the future.
