Free Roman Suschenko

Neighbourhood and Enlargement
Date: Tuesday, 18 December 2018 17:00 - 19:00

Venue: The Press Club Brussels Europe Rue Froissart 95, 1040 Brussels, Belgium

Roman Sushchenko is a Ukrainian journalist who is serving a sentence in prison in Russia having been convicted on alleged espionage charges. We believe that he is innocent, that he has been convicted unjustly, and that he is a victim of the oppression of free journalism. An exhibition of his drawings from prison in Moscow will be shown in the Press Club from 8th to 20th December. We invite you to visit the exhibition and attend the presentation of a campaign aimed at everyone interested in protecting the freedom of speech to support a request for his release. The Brussels Correspondent for Ukrinform, Dmytro Shkurko, will explain the unique nature of Roman Suschenko’s art works, and present the facts of his case. Networking drinks will be served after the presentation.
