Venue: European Parliament

Dear all,

On behalf of the Association of young public affairs professionals ecpa2.0 (https://www.ecpa20.com), we would like to invite to participate in our next event which takes place on April 17th at 6.30 pm in the European Parliament. REGISTER NOW: Do European Citizens' Initiatives help democracy in the EU?

Over the past few years, the concept of European civil society and the European Citizens' Initiatives (ECI) as means to get involved in the EU legislative process have gained popularity. The extent to which this results in a more democratic EU, however, is questionable because simply having opportunities for participation does not equate to participatory democracy. Join us to find out more about the role of ECI and debate if they are fit for purpose.

When: 17th of April 2019. Registration starts at 6.30 pm, with the debate kicking-off at 6.45 pm.

Where: European Parliament, room A4F384.

*** As places are limited, please let us know as soon as possible if you do not have a badge to access the European Parliament.
