"Expression Interrupted" – On Imprisoned Turkish Journalists and Writers

In the context of this year's International Press Freedom Day Rebecca Harms, Alexander Graf Lambsdorff, Kati Piri, Marju Lauristin, Terry Reintke and Bodil Valero are organising a cross-party conference and exhibition on imprisoned Turkish Journalists and Writers

External guest speakers:

·        Asli Erdogan, Turkish novelist

·        Veysel Ok and Tim Garnett, lawyers representing imprisoned Turkish journalists (tbc)

·        Andrew Finkel, journalist from P24

·        Eylem Türk Sabuncu, wife of Murat Sabuncu, currently imprisoned editor-in chief of Cumhuriyet (tbc)

·        Other Turkish journalists

The conference will take place on Tuesday, May 2nd at 17h00 in room PHS 4B001
