CEPS Low Carbon Economy Forum 2018

Energy, Environment and Climate
Date: Monday, 04 June 2018 14:30 - Tuesday, 05 June 2018 13:15

Venue: Crowne Plaza Brussels - Le Palace  |  City: Bruxelles

CEPS Energy Climate House has the pleasure to invite you to the Low Carbon Economy Forum 2018 "Industrial challenges, actions & requirements" which will take place in Brussels, starting in the afternoon of June 4th from 14:30 to 18:30, and continuing the next morning, June 5th from 9:00 to 13:15.

The transition to a low-carbon economy presents both a significant opportunity and an immense challenge. The development and notably the commercialisation of low-carbon solutions, including clean energy technologies, can catalyse economic development, jobs and growth, and accelerate the transformation of business and industry. A successful transition will require close coordination between policy, technology and capital, at the core of which is a partnership between the public and private sector and countries around the world.

The discussions will address the industrial challenges and opportunities during the energy transition by looking at framework conditions for innovation and low-carbon solutions.

The sessions will cover:

  • From challenges to opportunities
  • Innovation, finance and regulation
  • The powerful potential of the circular economy on an industrial scale - highlights from the RECONFIGURE study
  • The future global market for decarbonised industry
