European Democracy Network meeting: Influencing policy

Networking and career development
Date: Thursday, 11 January 2018 10:30 - 17:00

Venue: European Foundation Centre  |  City: Bruxelles, Belgium

The European Democracy Network meeting will centre on shaping policy at high level, and engaging think tanks and decision-makers who are already a key part of the system. In particular, it will explore new or experimental ways of influencing policy and bringing new voices to the decision-making process.

The purpose of the meeting is to bring together network members and others to explore how the policy landscape is changing, how can new voices be brought into the mix, and how can philanthropy react? it will also focus on how to influence policy in a time when the environment is changing quite dramatically. Increasingly, organisations are putting more energy on the Member States instead of the EU institutions when trying to influence or shape decisions.
