Project n°. 2016-1-IT01-KA202-005396Measuring the impact of European VET mobility: turning intangible into tangible – Policy debate Hosted by MEP Henna Virkkunen, EPP European Parliament, A5E-3 16 May 2018 According to the Eurostat data, 3.722 million young persons were unemployed in 2017 in the EU28, a decrease of 380,00 as compared in 2016. In June 2017, the Council of Europe & the European parliament agreed to increase the budget for 2017-2020 by 2.4 billion €. Member States also continued to implement the Youth Guarantee plan to ensure that all individuals under 25 receive a good-quality offer within four/three mounts after leaving education. The long practice of offering unpaid internships, poor protection services for the young workers, job market and the skills during the learning process. All people say work experiences aboard are useful, enriching, favour employability, development of one’s skills. How can we measure the return on investment that many stakeholders (students, companies, school) make, in terms of time, money, commitment, availability to leave one’s comfort zone and put oneself on the test abroad, and so on? ROI-MOB aims at putting some order in the above matters, by identifying and testing some indicators, suitable to measure the return on investment͟ in EU VET mobility, investigating affecting factors, and devising methods and tools for turning them into success factors.
