How to manage across cultures: Cultural Intelligence as the key to success

Education and Culture - Webinars
Date: Tuesday, 10 April 2018 15:00 - 16:00

Venue: Online Webinar

This webinar explores Cultural Intelligence (CQ) as a critical mindset and skillset for managing across cultures.  We will discuss how to master three aspects of being a culturally intelligent global leader, which include: openness, curiosity, and knowledge.

SpeakerELIZABETH TULEJA

Elizabeth is a professor of Intercultural Communication and Global Leadership for MBA and Executive MBA programs at the University of Notre Dame, USA. She also teaches and leads cross-cultural immersion programs in Shanghai and Chengdu every year.

Her mission is to enable global effectiveness through first understanding oneself (EQ = emotional intelligence) in order to understand others (CQ = cultural intelligence).

The webinar is part of the CUBE IN platform.
CUBE IN stands for "Cultural Understanding for Business Expansion and Innovation".
Emerging markets offer great opportunities for business and innovation. The aim of the CUBE IN platform is to give you the tools you need to prepare yourself and your business for operating in an unfamiliar business environment.

The platform focuses on a selection of emerging economies, which have been defined as within the scope of the project:
Russia, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, China, South Korea, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Qatar, and UAE.

CUBE IN provides

-self-assessment tools to test your readiness,
-an online library to help you learn more about the culture and customs of your target country,
-the possibility to attend webinar sessions with experts,
-and the option to ask questions through a forum.

All materials and tools on this platform are copyright protected. The platform can be used by European SMEs free of charge. If you are not working within a European SME, please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

The CUBE IN platform was created by a consortium led by the Technopolis Group and Hofstede Insights and funded by the European Commission, executed under the guidance of the EASME, the European Agency for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises. During the development, members of SMEs and SME agencies of the Enterprise Europe network advised the team on desired content and functionality and were involved in testing the portal.

As part of the CUBE IN project, learning circles are organized physically in emerging economies (by ICUnet AG) and physically and virtually in European countries (ICUnet and Hofstede Insights).
