THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING FINANCIALLY LITERATE

Economic and Financial Affairs
Date: Tuesday, 15 May 2018 12:30 - 14:30

Venue: Bruegel  |  City: Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Belgium

Being financially literate means having the necessary knowledge to make informed and responsible decisions about one’s own financial resources. In this event we will examine more closely how well countries do, what the risks of financial illiteracy are, and which policies help promote financial literacy effectively.

Annamaria Lusardi, a professor at the George Washington University and the Academic Director of Global Financial Literacy Excellence Center, will deliver the keynote speech. The rest of the panel will provide us with valuable input on the subject from their own perspectives (banking, policy, and academia) before we engage in a discussion with the audience.

This event will be livestreamed on this webpage. There is no need to register for the livestream.
